If you are not having any trouble with your eyes, you may think, 'why waste time on an eye test?' Well, if you are thinking that way, you may want to think again. It serves to know that many eye diseases are asymptomatic; they do not have any symptoms. Thus, if you care for your eyes and you want to make sure that they are in perfect conditions, get them checked now!

What Goes On During a Routine Eye Check-up?

When you go for a routine eye check-up, you will go through the following two tests:

  • Visual Acuity Test

This is to measure the sharpness and clarity of your vision. You will be asked to read letters of varying sizes on a chart placed at 20 feet from you. The smallest letters that you are able to read will be recorded as your acuity.

  • Confrontation Visual Field Test

This test is carried out to measure how far can you see on both sides without turning your head. The doctor will move his hand sideways in front of you while you cover one eye at a time. He will note the points at which the hand enters your field of vision.

Don't Wait For Complications, Your Eyes Deserve Better!

Spare Yourself Serious Eye Issues

After the tests, if he detects something amiss, the eye specialist can perform more intense examinations. This will allow him to diagnose and treat any budding eye conditions. As a result, you will be saved the stress and expense of having to deal with more complicated eye problems.

At VALLEY VISION, we have highly professional, experienced and reputed optometrists at your disposal.
